Annual Review Assessments & Recommendations
We offer educational psychology assessments for children and young people with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), providing an updated understanding of their strengths, needs and progress ahead of their annual review.
These assessments help parents and schools consider whether the child’s current outcomes and support remain appropriate, and identify recommendations for their next steps in learning and development.
When might an assessment be helpful?
- Your child’s needs have changed since their last EP assessment.
- You would like a clearer understanding of their progress and current learning needs.
- You are concerned that their existing support is no longer meeting their needs.
- Your child is approaching a transition, such as moving to secondary school.
- You would like updated professional advice to inform discussions about their EHCP.
What does the assessment include?
- Review of your child’s current EHCP and relevant reports.
- Consultation with parents and school staff.
- Observation and direct assessment, personalised to your child’s needs.
- Consideration of your child’s views, interests and experiences.
- A written report outlining their strengths, needs and practical recommendations, including suggested outcomes and educational support.
